K-League entry revenue is the highest ever in the 2023 Season

Last year's K-League, which recorded the highest entry income ever.

The Korea Professional Football Federation announced the K-League entry income and average customer unit price for the 2023 season.

The total admission income of the K League 1 and 2 was 34.42 billion won, the highest since the official tally in 2013. This is an increase of about 74.72% from the previous record of the highest admission income of the 2019 season 19.7 billion won, and an increase of about 115.12% from the 2022 season 16 billion won.

The total revenue from admission to the K League 1 in the 2023 season is 30.769647 billion won. Seoul recorded the largest amount of admission income for each team at 6.31 billion won, followed by Ulsan with 4.247 million won, Suwon with 3.56 billion won, and Jeonbuk with 3.34975 billion won, respectively.

The total admission income of K League 2 is 3,651,048,300 won, followed by Anyang at 72.13,200 won, Jeonnam at 441,385,280 won, and Busan at 385,913,500 won.

The average unit price of 12 K League 1 clubs in the 2023 season is 11,980 won, the highest since 2013. Suwon is the highest at 15,418 won, followed by Seoul at 14,676 won and Daegu at 12,995 won.

The average customer unit price of K League 2 was 4,972 won, and Anyang recorded the highest customer unit price at 8,090 won. 사설토토

The unit price refers to admission income per audience, which is calculated by subtracting the ticket purchase amount of season ticket holders who did not actually watch the game from the total season admission income and dividing it by the total season paid audience.

Meanwhile, the main reasons for the increase in admission income for the 2023 season are the all-time box office hits that exceeded 3 million spectators in total in the K League 1 and 2, and the increase in customer unit prices. The reason for the increase in customer unit prices seems to have been due to the efforts of clubs to avoid free tickets and excessive discount tickets, increase the number of paid spectators, and the sales of specialized seats for each amount group thanks to the high popularity of the K League.
